1. Who is responsible for your data
"[OPERATING COMPANY NAME]" is the data controller for the Homebuyers Club app. Our data is stored in the United Kingdom (London) and we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.
2. What we collect
Only what the planner needs: your name, email, postcode and age range; your buying plan (target price, timing, whether you're buying alone or with someone); the financial details you choose to enter (income, deposit, debts and credit indicators); your journey progress; your consent choices; and, if you agree, how you use the app. We never collect health, ethnicity, religion or other special-category data.
3. Why we use it
To run your account and the planner features (our contract with you); to connect you with a regulated partner when you ask us to (your consent, taken at that moment); to send you tips and updates by email (your consent); and to improve the app (your consent for analytics). Sign-in links and account notices are sent regardless, because they are part of the service.
3a. Emails
With your consent we send a welcome email, a monthly Ready Score update, occasional nudges and congratulations when you finish a stage. Every one has a one-tap unsubscribe that takes effect immediately. Sign-in links are sent regardless because you need them to get in.
4. Who we share it with
Regulated partners you ask to be connected to, with the details needed for that referral; and the providers that run our service (hosting, database, email and error monitoring), under contracts that only allow them to act on our instructions: Supabase (database and sign-in, London), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email, EU), Sentry (error reports with personal details removed) and, only if you agree, PostHog (analytics, EU). We do not sell your data. Our own team can only see member data from an account protected by two-step verification, and every export is recorded.
5. If the business changes hands
If the business is sold or transferred, your data transfers to the new owner, who must use it under this notice and your consent choices at the time.
6. Your choices and rights
You can change every consent, download all your data and delete your account from Settings, at any time. Every consent change is recorded so you can see what you agreed to and when. You also have the right to ask us to correct or restrict your data and to complain to the ICO.
7. How long we keep it
While your account is open. When you delete your account, your data is removed immediately. Anonymous records of referrals and consent events may be kept for our legal and accounting obligations.
